You have a very spontaneous style/technique. Definitely in comparison to me.

I do have to say though that your pfp doesn't seem to fit your work. Is there some history to it?

wobblywatts responds:

Thanks! I try not to think within styles tbh, just draw whatever I can, however I can.
my pfp is just a silly one I made up a long while ago, every time I try to draw a new one I hate it lol, so it's just sorta stuck around!

Very fun character! I can already imagine him as a TV-animation star.

wobblywatts responds:

Thanks so much!

Solid pose, nice shading. I dig the helmet inside of another helmet haha

aesthetic-derelict responds:

Thank you! Redundancy is the way of the future, I suppose.

Hehe freaky, wonderful expression. Why not colour the whole thing?

Stradomyre responds:

The commission was just for the fire to be colored :P

I like the shading and the expression in this a whole lot, but the fingers freak me out a little bit x)

HallowGazer responds:

Assuming it's mostly the hand on her hip?
I don't disagree, I definitely need more practise with hand-poses.

I think it'd help if the hips were more angled, and if the spine was curved a bit more too. I like detail you put in the jacket, the little sharp bits are cool.

Can't help but feel like her face needs something extra, but I'm not quite sure what... Maybe the hair is actually taking attention away from it?

HallowGazer responds:

I appreciate the input ^^

Not sure what "something extra" would be either, though.
Are you thinking about some design-detail, like a scar, jewelry or make-up?
Or rather a technical improvement, like more detailed eyes?

What a great image haha, I have to wonder how you came up with this idea.
Great job on those bottom characters too, I like how you drew the hair.

MatthewLopz responds:

Glad you like it, yeah the concept is completely orginal, tho there's been a fair ammount of animal crossing/coronavirus memes, so i guess that's where you can draw the line lol.

The lightning and translucency feels just right in this. I agree with BrandonP, the concept itself is great because it summons questions. Is the beetle still alive? Did it construct this elemental? Are they both sentient and are they eternally trapped together?

You don't have to answer these questions ofc, I'm just trying to illustrate that there's story potential here too.

Joifish responds:

Thank you so much! I'm glad you're able to pull a lot from the piece. ^^

I think your line art in this is strong, but the shadows feel a bit off. I feel like the darkness underneath his right eyebrow (our left) and the ridge of his nose should connect. I'm also not sure whether or not you want his cheeks to be round or not, maybe it's because those two lines that run down from the outside corners of his eyes don't quite make sense when you think about how cheekbones look.

TheRocki responds:

Thank you for your critique!

I feel like this one is the least experimental with colours but I still like it the most. Great job on all of them :j

PkBlitz responds:

Yeah this is basically the original vanilla version.
Thank you! :)
